I am a single mother who recently moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Oswego, Illinois with the help of Mid America movers. I was very impressed by their service and professionalism from start to finish. Here is my detailed review of their service:

The sales person Moses was very friendly and helpful. He gave me a reasonable quote and explained the whole process clearly. He also answered all my questions and concerns patiently. He was always available to communicate and update me on the status of my move.

The movers Peter and George were amazing. They arrived on time and packed everything carefully and efficiently. They were very respectful of my belongings and handled them with care. They also loaded and unloaded everything smoothly and quickly. They were very courteous and friendly throughout the move.

The overall experience was stress-free and enjoyable. I did not have to worry about anything as they took care of everything. They delivered everything on time and in perfect condition. They also helped me set up my new home and made sure I was satisfied with their service.

I would highly recommend Mid America movers to anyone who is looking for a reliable and professional moving company. They are the best in the business and they made my move a breeze. Thank you Mid America movers for making my move a memorable one!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2420

We contracted for a move from Conyers GA Somerset KY. They never showed up and have never refunded our deposit. When charge was disputed they claim I was unavailable the day of the move. TOTAL LIE. I wound up having to rent a uhaul last minute to move my father. They ignored over 15 emails and over 50 calls. I still have never received a response. Save yourself time, money, and stress. Check out their yelp reviews too. Alos, per Florida Secretary of State they change their name regularly.

I was a bit hesitant to work with a moving company but after looking at all the work that needed to be done to move my family's home across town I knew it would be a necessity.

The movers were super professional and gave me time frames that they swore they could make. I doubted at first but they absolutely delivered. Mike was super helpful in assuring me the furniture and glass items would be handled with care and that the move would be a smooth one. I took another look at the pieces after the movers left and didn't find anything wrong. I tend to hover during these kind of things just to make sure everything is going as planned but in retrospect I didn't really need to. The movers knew what they were doing.

Overall, the money was well worth it. For roughly $2000, the service and peace of mind are worth it. I would highly recommend hiring.

The staff is great to work with since the first call I had with them. They were quick to respond, well informed, professional even when had a snag on our end. I highly recommend them and will call them first.
The pricing they offered was simple, straightforward and very reasonable. The crew was punctual, hardworking and respectful of my belongings. They went above and beyond what mover usually did by taking apart desks wrapped and our furniture carefully
Then when we got to our new place they positioned the furniture where we wanted at our new location and removed all packing materials carefully, no problems with tape. I could not begin to list all the good things about them. But the best one was time management, we finished in two hours. They far exceeded my expectations.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1475

I was moving to a new state quite a ways away so I was very picky in finding a great moving company that I could trust with all my belongings. I came across mid America movers and decided to go through them. That was a great decision! The movers were extremely professional and punctual. I had a lot of delicate and fragile items and everything was still in one piece when we arrived to my new home! Not to mention we arrived ahead of schedule! I couldn't have been happier with the service. The movers went out of their way to make sure nothing happen to my belongings. I definitely recommend hiring Mid America Movers!

Service cost: $4000

I'm a single mother of 3 girls and was dreading the thought of having to move. It had to be done. I called several companies and Mid America could not be beat. In addition, they do the job from start to finish and you don't have to hire multiple companies. For $1500 all my items were packed, delivered and set up. I did not have anything broken or missing and each and every commitment made was fulfilled. There staff is very helpful, goes the extra mile and will provide feedback along the way which in turn is piece of mind. I would recommend them to any one looking to make a big move. You will be glad you did. Thank you for your hard work guys!!

Too many reasons to list why not to use this company.
1. Rude & disrespectful service. Driver very argutive with heavy Russian accent. Argued with me and apt MGMT to drive the a one-way back gate the opposite way. Argued and refused to box fragile plastic containers that were not made for shipping..then said they were still charging me packing fees by cubic ft since it was all inclusive packaging. Driver refused many old ripped boxes by using a lot of tape to tape them up, and had the people get old worn out boxes out of the trash bin to pack my stuff..then argued with me that it was waste of paper..eg..one trash box was a box for a baby seat. Was not flexible on pick up dates..driver demanded to pickup on memorial day rather than the next day.
2. Under-estimated by $5,000s to make a $10,000 job into a $15,000 job. They took estimated weight information based then in the contract changed it to cubit feet and stated a 26' truck can more than fit 13,000 lbs..movers showed up in a 72' truck and ran over one curve in the apt complex leaving deep tire tracks plus, a 26' can not legally load 13,000 lbs of load weight. Movers charged for extra 1,000 cubit feet (made me sign a separate contract for the 1,000 cubic feet, and threatened to leave if I did not sign it).
4. Movers packed boxes to 75-80% capacity. Checked up on movers and noticed this. Had to tell the driver to have them pack the boxes to capacity. Driver argued with me, and he slightly pushed on a box too which collapsed due to the emptiness
5. Left all light bulbs behind with the trash pile which also included pieces of furniture they took apart screws, clothing, rug, various other miscellaneous items which could be easily packed. Poor attention to detail.
6. Left items in the parking lot when leaving..apt workers had to flag down movers to tell them to load the items.
7. Said motorcycle included in move estimate..then charged extra $150 at end..very rough with and even grabbed the plastic body frame to try and lift after I just instructed to only use the rear grip handles.
8. Wanted me to pay 60% deposit on pickup. Demands I pay with USPS checks for the remainder. Will only accept credit card if I sign and form and give them and photo copy of my credit card and driver's license.
9. I believe this company operates under a second name and dot number as well.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

I appreciate attention to detail and that is exactly what I got with Midamerica Movers. My move was complex because some of the items were being delivered right away and the rest going to storage for a few months so organization was paramount. The crew led by Nathan was very well instructed and labeled and the loaded the items concisely and carefully and all the items made it with no damages or hiccups. Considering the size of the move I expected some mishaps and breakage but they pulled it off seamlessly.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $7558

I was going to do Pods at first for my move but after speaking with Anthony at Mid America Movers he pointed out the damages I could suffer from loading items with unskilled labor and the amount being saved was minimal when taking into account all the extra cost of Pods like getting moving blankets , buying tape which is so expensive and hiring labor to load up my belongings . I was very happy with the out come of the move when delivery came and the guys unloaded and set up all our beds and furniture in the new home just leaving us to unpack boxes. Excellent service and well worth the money

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5255

I had to move out fast, without a place to move in. I didn't know what to do and how. Thank Gods for Mid America Movers!!! Guys worked till 11pm to get me and my kids out and stored our belongings for almost 6 weeks without charging newly single mother. Delivery was done by a different team, but they were equally professional, such a nice guys, especially Ian.

(Personal note to Mid America Movers: If I'll have to move again, I'm only using You guys. Thank YOU ALL very much for everything.)

This is one of the worst mover company who cheated and tried to earn as much as they can do. Their manager and staffs are very rude and not responding. They first give me quotation of $1740 for 1bhk from NJ to TN and during pickup they revised bill almost double and told that I don’t need to pay the additional cost and took my signature at late night.

They hold my stuff and started saying I have to pay now $3239 and ultimately they deliver it with most of items I. Damage condition and all good item stolen after paying almost double of my cost.

My advise is to never take this mover company for your future household move.

Divorce is hard . So when I had to figure out how to move my stuff in a tumultuous situation having professional movers was paramount. I got several bids for my move but I was impressed with how Moses was so attentive and sensitive to my situation . He took my move by the reins and handled it expertly from start to finish. The men were patient at the pick up which was convoluted because my exwife was hovering over the thr entire time as we split up our household items Mid America was a class act. Much gratitude

I appreciate attention to detail and that is exactly what I got with Midamerica Movers. Ever since my first call with Moses I knew mid America movers were a quality moving and i trusted them to take care of my possessions which they did. My move was a but tricky because some of the items were being delivered right away and the rest going to storage for a little, mid American movers were extremely organized and everything went smoothly. The crew led by junior was very well instructed and labeled and the loaded the items concisely and carefully and all the items made it with no damages or hiccups. Considering the size of the move I expected some accidents or breakage but they pulled it off effortlessly.

I would not use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.

For anyone moving in or out of an apartment, watch out for elevator fees, stair fees, and long-carry fees. My initial estimate was $2,500 (including $75 for the elevator at my apartment and $200 for the stairs at my new apartment); however, by the end of the moving process $1,000 had been added for long-carry and the same stairs.

Additionally, my movers lost a shelf and damaged my ottoman. I submitted a claim within the month I moved (September 2021), and they said they had until January 28, 2022 to process the claim.

I still hadn't received my check on March 22, 2022 and called Customer Support. They claim was processed on January 30, 2022. Despite my address being correct in the confirmation email, the check was sent to the incorrect address. They promised to send a new check out that week.

Two week later I still have not received my check. I called Customer Support again, but this time they hung up on me and disconnected the line.

Lesson learned. I'll never use Mid-America Movers again.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3000

Had to find movers in a hurry and went online and my phone lit up like a xmas tree. I got 7 quotes which is way more than needed cause Moses was the most professional of all . Instead of just pressuring me to book he listened to my needs and showed me how to research movers online and why I should avoid moving Brokers who take Binding Estimate fees to subcontract out your move to shoddy labor. The crew he sent was clean and professional and not a single Item was damaged. Leo was particularly helpful with a great eye for detail . Thank you

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3855

So my main concerns was that I would get my shipment within a week of pick up I need to see stuff in the truck to continue my work. I read a lot of stories about moving brokers that subcontract doubt you're moved and had no control over the actual service. I chose mid America movers because after speaking with Moses he showed me how to check the brokers and carriers on the Department of Transportation website and I found this very helpful. When I looked at minimerica movers dad a fleet of 22 trucks and it's maybe feel secure that they would be there with the truck and men on move day to get the job done. Sure enough the move to transpire as contracted to came on a given day and did a great job. They worked professionally wrapping a pack and everything and I had no issues whatsoever. 5 days went by and the delivery came as contracted. No surprises no hiccups. I was able to resume work is planned with no disturbances to my everyday life and appreciate the professionalism.

So I went online to look at different options for doing this long distance move. And I must say I was overwhelmed with calls from all sorts of different companies. Some were truck rentals some were pod summer moving companies and some were just moving broker's. The company that stood out to me was Mid America because Moses represented them well and took the time to explain the difference between all the services. I was really confused with what a moving broker was and he explained that they were simply middleman who charged a fee to find you an actual moving company. I'm glad I went with Mid America movers because I saved money and got direct service from a real Carrier who actually has trucks and men working for them. So there is no miscommunications no extra fees just a great service. I moved they came ready to work in a clean marked truck with 3 uniformed men and they got down to it. They rolled up their sleeves and they got the job done and I must say it was impressive to watch. Delivery came with the same crew of men 3 days later as we had agreed and it went without a hitch. Thank you so much for mid America for being true to your word.
